☆Hey guys so today we learn about "Types of ram and rom" before we start we have to know that what is RAM and ROM, so they both are primary memory of an device. Which is used to run a computer/device.
1) SRAM :- abbriviation is static random access memory that is faster and more reliable than the more common DRAM(dynamic ram). The term static is derived from the fact that it doesnot need to be refreshed like Dynamic ram . SRAM is often used only as a memory cache usually found in the CPU.
2) DRAM :- stands for dynamic ram , a type of memory used in most personal computers.
3) SDRAM :- stands for synchronous DRAM, a new type of DRAM that can run at much higher clock speed than conventional memory. SDRAM actually synchronizes itself with the CPU.
4) DDR2-SDRAM :- abbreviation is double data rate synchronous DRAM 2 is a type of DDR that supports higher speed than its ancestor DDR SDRAM.
1) PROM(PROGRAMMABLE ROM) :- A PROM is a memory chip on which data can be written only once. The differnce betweeen a PROM anD a ROM is that PROM is manufactured as a blank memory, wheras a ROM is programmed during the manufacturing process.
2) EPROM(ERASABLE ROM) :- it is a special type of PROM that can be erased by exposing it on UV light. Once it is erased it can be reprogrammed . An EPROM is similar to a PROM but requires only electicity to be erased.

☆ ROM (READ ONLY MEMORY) :-)
computer always carry a small amount of read only memory that holds instuction for starting up the compute/device. Unlike RAM, ROM cannot be writen to. It is only non- volatile which means once you turn off the computer the information is still there.1) PROM(PROGRAMMABLE ROM) :- A PROM is a memory chip on which data can be written only once. 3) EEPROM( ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE ROM) :-
Pronounced double EEProm or ee-prom, an EEPROM is a special type of PROM that can be erased by exposing it to an electrical charge. Like other types of PROM,EEPROM contents even when power is turned off. Also like other ROM it is not used as fast as RAM. It is similar to flash memory.
